Picture taken during Andrée’s ill-fated Polar Expedition, 1897. A figure is captured in the film, but no team member recalls seeing it. Inuit people would later identify it as a Tariaksuq, a shadow creature resembling a caribou. Tragically, none of the explorers came back.
